The second world football tournament was held in Italy in 1934. In total there were 16 teams participated (for which 32 nations participated in the competition.)
For the first time in this series, the European country captured the World Cup.
The series was held in eight cities of Italy.
The first was the knockout tournament known as Round 16, with eight nations - Spain, Austria, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Switzerland, Germany, and Sweden.

The tournament (Italy, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Germany) won and entered the semi-final.
Italy vs Austria and Czechoslovakia vs Germany in the semi-finals match. The Italian team defeated Austria in a 1 - 0 defeat. In another semi-final, the Czechoslovakia team defeated Germany 3-1 in the Czechoslovakia faced final match against Italy.
Third place was Germany's 3 - 2 win over Austria.
In the final match, Italy beat 2 - 1 to Czechoslovakia and finished the second world champion.
